Our Life Together

2012

married    31       years

We took the Bolam's Express to two different vintage races this year.  We decided this would be our last year running the boat because it is so expensive to fix when things go wrong.  We went to our two favorite locations ... Moses Lake, and Chelan Washington .

Kathy's mom decided what she wanted for her 80th birthday party was to have as many family as possible come to our house in Idaho and help her celebrate together.    It was a great success and many people came.  Our home and two motorhomes outside were full of guests.

Our grandson Marcus graduated from high school in Spokane, WA and we got to go participate.  It was fun watching him move into the next stage of his life.

Bob & Kath continued volunteering and helping others this year.  One new thing we did was help several people with their computer questions.  Bob is the maintenance man at the winery so he goes down monthly to help them.  He continues to help with the "Miss Spokane replica" boat.  Kath loves Children's Village, singing in the choir, and working on genealogy for others.

Kath continued helping Cheryl through her cancer  by visiting with her daily and helping her by being a sounding board.  Cheryl's motto was "Either way I win" and she meant it. She would either be with her family on earth or her Father in heaven.  She was well enough to drive up to our house to attend Mom's 80th birthday.

Our daughter Tracy and grandson Sam made the long trip up from Los Angeles to visit family in Washington and Idaho.  We got to spend one day with the here at a car show at the Coeur d'Alene Airport and at our house that evening.  It may have been a short visit but we loved having them so close!
